Manchester City Council’s planning committee will make a final decision on the 122-unit, 13-storey Zoku Shudehill aparthotel next month, after agreeing it would be minded to refuse the proposals on the basis of height and raising queries around waste management.

The architects, who had “consulted thoroughly” with the council and residents during the design process, and the council’s planning development manager, have spoken in support of the scheme.
