The World Travel & Tourism Council has praised millions of people around the world in the Travel & Tourism sector for lending crucial help to combat the global coronavirus pandemic, going the extra mile to volunteer time and expertise, many putting their own lives on the line, from furloughed airline cabin crew helping in hospitals, to luxury hotels providing free rooms to healthcare workers.

Ships are becoming floating hospitals and hotels becoming field hospitals for both Covid-19 and non-coronavirus patients, airlines have given free flights, and has donated more than three million surgical masks to more than 25 countries around the world.
