The World Travel & Tourism Council’s new hygiene certification scheme, the Safe Travels stamp, enables travellers to identify destinations and businesses which have adopted relevant health and hygiene protocols, and is gaining supporters worldwide.

The UNWTO has also embraced the stamp, which has the safety and hygiene of travellers as its top priority.

However, concerns remain over how the new scheme can be enforced, especially since destinations only have to share their protocols with the WTTC to gain the stamp.
