Evolve Vacation Rental Network has just raised a further $80 million in capital, making a total of $103 million raised since it was founded in 2011, which will be used to solidify its expansion in North America and the Caribbean.
Evolve manages 9,000 properties, up from 4,000 a year ago, on behalf of second homeowners, to maximise rental income on major channels including Airbnb, HomeAway, and TripAdvisor, handling all guest interactions and offering professional photos and listings and advice on rates.
Sonder, a boutique rental startup, has also closed a funding round, at $85 million, and is predicted to be on course to generate $100 million in revenue this year. It leases all of its units directly from developers and manages them internally, with bespoke branded fixtures and fittings across properties.
Homelike, which offers furnished temporary accommodation for business travel lasting 30 nights or more in curated apartments, has raised $14 million funding round. It currently lists more than 45,000 high-quality apartments in 100 cities in Europe and has so far accommodated business travellers for more than 700,000 nights.
Roomex, a hotel booking platform for business that centralises bookings and invoicing in one account, and ranked 20th in the 2017 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Ireland list, has raised a $9.27 million looking to expand beyond the UK and Ireland.
