According to the latest analysis from the UNWTO, around 40% of all worldwide destinations (87) have now eased the restrictions they placed on international tourism in response to the outbreak, and the responsible restart of tourism is underway.

This latest outlook was recorded on July 19th, is up from 22% the month before.

Of the 87, only four have completely lifted all restrictions, while 115 destinations (53% of all destinations worldwide) continue to keep their borders completely closed for tourism and 88 of these have done so for more than 12 weeks.
