The Save Future Travel Coalition made up of ten travel industry bodies including the BTA, ABTA and the SPAA has issued a new petition calling on the UK government to provide tailored coronavirus support for the travel industry.

The petition calls for a five-point plan:

– A regionalised quarantine policy;
– Airport testing;
– The Job Support Scheme to be reviewed;
– Recovery grants for travel businesses that missed out on previous support; and
– Air Passenger Duty relief for summer 2021.

The associations are encouraging members to write to their MPs, with template letters available at abta.com/savefuturetravel. The petition needs 100,000 signatures to be discussed in parliament.
