The Save Future Travel Coalition made up of ten travel industry bodies including the BTA, ABTA and the SPAA has issued a new petition calling on the UK government to provide tailored coronavirus support for the travel industry.

The petition calls for a five-point plan:

– A regionalised quarantine policy;
– Airport testing;
– The Job Support Scheme to be reviewed;
– Recovery grants for travel businesses that missed out on previous support; and
– Air Passenger Duty relief for summer 2021.

The associations are encouraging members to write to their MPs, with template letters available at The petition needs 100,000 signatures to be discussed in parliament.
