Nearly 40% of IT leaders surveyed have said they plan to increase their investment in cloud-based networking in response to the coronavirus pandemic and requirements for more people to work remotely, while another 35% reported looking into AI-based networking.

The repor ‘Preparing for the post pandemic workplace: How IT decision-makers are responding to COVID-19’ also found organisations are increasing their use of subscription services over the next two years from 34% to 46%.

With widespread furloughs, layoffs and business closure across organisations, just 6% said that there had been no notable impact on their employees.

For the hotels and hospitality industry, two-thirds of IT decision-makers are looking into the subscription model, similarly high across IT, technology, telecoms, and education industries.
