At the EyeforTravel Europe summit in London, the new hotel concept The Loop Hotels, based on crypto-economics and blockchain was announced, set to go live in September.

The group’s first 2,000-room property is being built in Puerto Rico, testing the need for a crypto-designed hotel tailored to the modern millennial traveller.

It is anticipated that 10% of global GDP will be on blockchain by 2025, and with travel representing 10.4% of global GDP, this means $1 trillion-worth of travel business may be on blockchain within a decade.
