Brand amalgamation, and slow progress for Expedia on homeshare

Expedia Group has again defended its (renamed HomeAway) homeshare product Vrbo, saying it will eventually become profitable. In Q2 2019, Vrbo’s adjusted earnings switched from Q1’s $40 million loss to an 8% y-on-y increase to $84 million.
