Manchester’s modernist Gateway House, which sits alongside Piccadilly Station and is known as the ‘Lazy S’, has opened as a Staycity Aparthotel, creating 50 new jobs.
The building has remained empty since 2010, and Staycity will occupy all seven floors with retail space underneath under a 25-year lease.
Staycity Manchester Piccadilly offers 182 one-, two- and three-bedroom short-let apartments with access to café, meeting rooms, lounge area, gym, car park and 24-hour reception.
Staycity operates over 3,000 apartments across 10 European cities including Birmingham, Dublin, Edinburgh, London, Paris, Lyon and Marseille.
