ASAP member SilverDoor has put together a list of the most common travel scams – it doesn’t make any claims to be scientific, but it could help travellers to know what to look out for.

The list is gathered in a useful infographic, and includes the broken taxi meter, the overbooked / closed hotel, free items or a sprig of rosemary, spills on your clothes, fake police, ‘your attraction is closed’, help at the ATM, a group photograph, fake wifi, rented motorbike damage, the hotel wakeup call and flirtatious locals.
