According to ASAP Business Partner Savills, the first half of 2018 saw investment into Scottish hotels almost double the total for the whole of 2017, at £389.6m.

The 10 individual transactions mainly focused in the £1-10m price bracket, although Edinburgh’s Caledonian Waldorf Astoria Hotel was far higher at £85m.

UK buyers accounted for 41% of all activity, followed by investors from the Middle East (22%), Israel (16%), US (8%), Canada (7%), Singapore (5%) and Germany (1%).
