ASAP Member Roomzzz Aparthotels’ £20 million York property, which temporarily closed last week due to high river levels, has now reopened with no damage to the building or its surroundings.

Its £250,000 flood wall protection system helped protect its own and neighbouring properties in Lower Ebor Street by containing water in the under croft of the building and pumping it back out when the river levels had receded.

Guests and vehicles were moved out after staff were made aware of the risk of flooding.
