The fall in the value of the pound helped toward a 13% increase in profitability at the UK’s Top 100 hotel groups in the last year, according to a new report from Moore Stephens; but they could be hit by staffing uncertainty around Brexit and rising running costs, on top of business rates and minimum wage increasing in April.

Events such as the Royal Wedding helped attract record numbers of tourists to the UK. However, more than 10% of all workers in the UK hospitality sector are reportedly considering leaving the country because of Brexit.
