According to the latest World Hotel Index from SiteMinder, regional hotels will bounce back faster than those in London, which may “continue to reel” from the effects of the pandemic.

Booking momentum across the UK as a whole is currently at almost two-thirds of its 2019 levels, almost 11% above the global average, but momentum across London is currently 33% below the year before.

Data from accommodation agency shows recent “strong” bookings growth in regional UK locations,, recording a 67% increase in annual growth in July for destinations outside London as a result of the call of the countryside or coast when considering a staycation.
