Plans have been lodged for the 160-bedroom aparthotel in the heart of Manchester city centre to be operated by ASAP Quality Accredited Operator Member SACO under its Locke brand.

The Manchester Whitworth Locke redevelopment encompasses four separate but linked buildings including the grade II-listed Central House, a 19th century ex-shipping warehouse in red brick. It is envisaged that there will be a bar within the basement and a bar at ground-floor level, both of which will be open to the public.
