India-based hotel startup Oyo Hotels & Homes plans to invest $300 million in its “newest home market” of the US with two of the company’s budget hotel brands, Oyo Hotels and Oyo Townhouse.

The initial focus will be on New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco where it is under-represented among its 35 American cities, including Dallas where it recently opened a headquarters.

Elsewhere, focus is on expansion in China, India, the UK, Southeast Asia and other markets where it already has a presence.
