With over 22 years of hospitality experience under his belt, Gavin first cut his teeth in the industry as a food and beverage sever at the city’s Caledonian Hotel.

Throughout his career he has worked his way up the ranks at the country’s leading five-star hotels including Turnberry, Gleneagles and the Balmoral.Gavin MacLennan

For the last 12 years he has worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Edinburgh, Belgium and USA holding senior positions.

Returning to working in Edinburgh after a six year hiatus, Gavin, who lives in St Andrews, said:

“Edinburgh is where I first started my career and I’m delighted to be back and joining Old Town Chambers.

“Since it opened two years ago it has amassed a number of awards in such a short space of time which is testament to the product – luxurious, but not old fashioned despite having 15th century elements – and team in place.”

He added: “The capital is one of the top visitor destinations, and at this time of year when Princes Street is transformed into a winter wonderland, our enviable position of overlooking the festivities makes staying at Old Town Chambers even more magical.”
