The National Trust has commissioned 12-to-18-month-long study to assess the impact of tourist visits on the Antrim coast, where the Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge alone attracted 1.5m visitors in 2019.

The work will focus on the opportunities as well as the impact from tourism, including the interest raised by Game of Thrones, and the Trust has invited public collaboration.
