With ASAP spearheading the campaign for quality assurance across the serviced apartment industry, and ASAP Quality Accreditation soon-to-be a requirement of membership, this article in The Guardian is interesting.

It notes that growing numbers of professional holiday letting firms are actively avoiding the regulation that hotels and B&Bs face, by listing multiple properties – often in the same high rise or large residential building – on Airbnb and other homesharing sites, and potentially putting holidaymakers at risk.

A report from the APPG on Tourism, Leisure and the Hospitality Industry will be published this week, and will consider the dangers of block-booking holiday lets in blocks of flats, without any reference to fire and other safety services.
