The seventh edition of the GSAIR survey of 6,000 corporates reveals that serviced apartments are being seen as a ‘stand-alone’ category now, more than half are using serviced apartments for business travel, and 40% allocate up to 20% of their accommodation budget to extended stay.

37% of companies require employees to use a specialist agency channel, while 47% allow staff to select and book their own long-stay accommodation themselves.

Those surveyed reported savings of 17-29% when using serviced apartments rather than traditional hotels.
