Two software companies, Intelity and Keypr, will merge by September to combine resources to serve hotels and other hospitality businesses, especially focusing on electronic door locks, mobile apps for both guests and employees, and software support services.

Between them the two had raised $26m, and once merged under the name Intelity, the combined business will have 80-100 employees.

Their software requires a higher level of security screening than many competitors, and they also offer their products in flexible modules allowing hotels to split the costs across capital expenditure or operations budgets.
