According to the Irish Minister for Housing, Airbnb properties currently being used for homeless services must not go back into the private market, and short-term letting agencies will have to be regulated directly to make sure this does not happen.He spoke from an aparthotel in Dublin where 110 units are being used to house those with Covid-19 among the homeless community, and these are among 400 rooms in eight hotels and 165 self-contained apartments being used by the Government’s homeless initiative.
