Michael Ellis has been appointed minister for arts, heritage and tourism in the latest cabinet reshuffle, replacing John Glen, who was only in the role for seven months.

Ellis, a former barrister, was deputy leader of the House of Commons from July 2016 until his promotion was announced on 9 January.

He met with Steve Ridgway and Sally Balcombe, chairman and chief executive of VisitBritain respectively, yesterday.
