Barrow is one area of the UK where serviced apartments and rooms are seeing growing demand, and several pubs have recently been converted or renovated to add to the town’s stock of serviced accommodation to rent.

Local property development firm Blake Henderson has bought and renovated a number of closed pubs into serviced accommodation, and has recently been given approval to convert an office block in Lawson Street into serviced apartments.

Another pub which sold in 2010 for £50,000 has come up for auction with a guide price of £300,000, suggesting this property could become the latest to cash in on the contractor accommodation boom.
