Booking.com has announced that since 2007, 748 million guests have stayed at its homes, apartments, or unique listings like yurts and igloos, compared with Airbnb’s 500 million guest stays.

Last year, Booking Holdings collected $2.8 billion in revenue from home rentals, and spent nearly $5 billion on marketing. Airbnb has expanded rapidly into more than 81,000 cities in more than 191 countries, and is reportedly valued at $38 billion, with third quarter 2018 sales exceeding $1 billion. In total, Booking.com offers 28 million places to stay worldwide.
