According to ASAP Business Partner Savills, investment in London hotels in the first half of 2018 reached £1.1bn, accounting for around one-third of all hotel investment in the UK.

International investors accounted for 62% of the total volume, which was made up of 11 single transactions and six portfolio sales.

20% of the total volume was LRC Group’s acquisition of  DoubleTree by Hilton in Islington and Chelsea, and 19% a portfolio of UK Holiday Inns and Crowne Plazas.

Seven of the 11 transactions in the capital were over £40m.
