The rise of co-living in Australia is based on convenience, avoiding waiting for services to switch and furniture to be delivered, and almost everything is included in the price.

Hmlet, a Singapore-based co-living company, has opened nine properties across high-demand Sydney suburbs in as many months, all fully-furnished with gas, water and electricity bills and wifi included.

And in a move that will challenge the local serviced apartment sector, they have a starting lease from three months, making them attractive to local renters, travelling workers and expats.

Renters are moving in for the convenience and staying for the community.
