An historic former school building next to Edinburgh’s Royal Mile is to be converted as part of the £150 million New Waverley development and will become a 21-room luxury aparthotel, managed by Apple Apartments.

Plans include the conversion of the original school rooms into 21 double-height serviced apartments overlooking a light-filled glass atrium, with mezzanine levels providing separate sleeping and living areas.

As well as fully serviced apartments, there will be 24-hour butler service, customer lounge and a gourmet restaurant with room service serving main meals and breakfast.
