There is a clear need for reassurance for business travel managers around safety and customer service standards when booking outside the traditional hotel space, so ASAP is proud to represent only our Members who have received ASAP Quality Accreditation.

Research from ABTA has found that 48% of managers are concerned about safety and 53% about the possible quality of accommodation if booking staff into private property on business, while half at director level are also concerned about the potential negative impact of peer-to-peer accommodation services on local communities.

However, the research also shows that some 44% of managers recognise that many staff actively request sharing economy options for business travel, enjoying the convenience and experience of being part of a community, and expect Travel Management Companies to offer this.

Only 17% of managers that there is no such demand from staff.
