Birmingham City Council has now granted planning permission to transform the Grade II-listed Birmingham Methodist Central Hall into a £35m, 147-bedroom Unscripted hotel, to be operated by Dream Hotel Group, and a 75-bedroom Stow-Away luxury aparthotel to be operated by ASAP Quality Accredited Operator Member BridgeStreet Global Hospitality. The building’s central area will also be developed into a ‘gastro hall’ with its restored organ showcased in a mezzanine bar overlooking the hall.

Stow-Away has one open aparthotel in London Waterloo, and two sites in the pipeline in London, two in Glasgow, and one in Manchester.

The project is targeted to complete in 2020.
