Google has quietly launched a metasearch and booking site for hotels, along the lines of its already successful Google Flights.

Having found a hotel, the traveller can navigate to a third-party site for booking, but a “Book a room” via Google button is also flagged strongly and Google filters can be applied such as ‘deals only’. In some markets, customers can move on to book flights, and vice versa, while filters can be set so a user can set the price rather than destination, and see available hotel options and where they can fly to up to that price.
