The US State of Florida has always attracted leisure travellers but has struggled in more recent times getting business travellers, despite being a centre for conventions and seminars. Now it plans to promote the rising trend in ‘bleisure’ to address this, encouraging business travellers to stay extra days in Florida before or after their trips.

A bleisure travel marketing campaign is planned to target both domestic and international business travellers, with a $76 million budget approved for tourism body for Visit Florida this year.

Florida currently has 109 hotels and 14,525 rooms under construction with 48,103 hotel rooms  expected to break ground in the next two years.
