According to new data for May from ASAP Business Partner STR, UK hotels recorded the first drop in ADR for 19 months, a decline of 0.8% to £93.31, despite a 2% increase in supply outpacing a 1.4% growth in demand.

RevPAR was also down 0.3%, to £74.47, despite a rise in occupancy of 0.5%.

Hotel performance in May across Europe was largely flat.
