Some US extended stay hotel brands are looking for innovative ways to help guests take advantage of their kitchen amenities, such as Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham’s chef-designed recipes for guests to use during their stay, followed by their partnership with on-demand grocery delivery services for guests.

The company cites the rise in American households ordering groceries online, in 2016 totalling an estimated $42 billion in online grocery delivery and probably looking for the same service when travelling.

Offering on-demand grocery delivery is also something Airbnb is considering, and last year Homewood Suites by Hilton ran a pilot program in Atlanta and Dallas with a local meal kit delivery service although they have decided to focus on more traditional food services across all their brands and locations.
