Construction has begun in St. George, Utah, on the new four-story, 63-room My Place Hotels development, the economy extended stay hotel chain’s third in the State.

For the first time, the hotel features an all-inclusive kitchen in every room with a two-burner cooktop, full refrigerator and microwave, aiming at the thousands of health-conscious competitors who visit each year for various key sporting events who might prefer to prepare some of their own meals.

The hotel will also include on-site laundry and a 24-hour convenience store inside the lobby, and is planned to open on April 1, 2018.

It joins many other new and proposed hotels in the area, including a 104-room Hyatt Place, 130-room Holiday Inn and 91-room Comfort Suites recently opened, while a120-room Hampton Inn and Suites is slated to open in January, and Best Western has announced its intent to build close by.
