The latest study of travel trends across three European countries by Expedia Media Solutions shows that British and French tourists enjoy the most leisure trips, with the French enjoying the most trips in total, and Germans particularly enjoy relaxing while away.

Both french and German travellers enjoyed more days away than the British, but while around 6/10 of tourists stay in hotels, the French are the most likely of the three to seek out alternative accommodations, at 17%, compared with 10% of Germans and only 6% of British tourists.

The British are much more reliant on review sites than the other two nations, and the French are keenest on family-focused trips, either staying with family or basing their stay around their own.
