London, Manchester, Birmingham and their surrounding areas have announced at an event in Shanghai, a joint tourism campaign to make it easier for Chinese visitors to get to and explore the country.

The campaign ‘Experience England’ will offer Chinese travellers a one-stop-shop for flights, hotels and transport as well as a range of itineraries across England, including visits to country villages and the Lake District, shopping in London’s West End, a VIP trip to Manchester City FC and a tour of Shakespeare’s birthplace.

By 2025, the number of Chinese visitors to London is predicted to rise by over 100%, while Manchester, the second most visited, has been working in China for some years promoting Manchester as the Home of Football and the Gateway to Northern England.

The programme will be available via Qunar.com, a leading Chinese travel provider.
