Colliers International Myanmar has released its recent market survey around the housing intentions, sentiments, and considerations of Yangon expatriates.

It reveals that most serviced apartment tenants are from Asia, aged between 30 and 40, and caring more about facilities and amenities than anything, followed by location and price.

The findings support the view that investors must take note of expatriates’ and contractors’ expectations in line with the influx of foreign corporations into the region. Myanmar citywide occupancy rates are settled at around 80%, with an absence of new projects since Q1 2019.

The report also comments on the influx of new flexible workspace options across the city, in line with trends seen globally and reported on elsewhere in this news site.
