Consultations with the local community and other stakeholders in February about proposals to create Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) on the site of an old laundry showed this is not the preferred use of the site.

Respondents had a clear preference for a more residential scheme for young people currently priced out of more traditional forms of housing in Bath.

Now proposed co-living apartments will have their own bathroom, kitchenette and desk space whilst sharing communal facilities such as a laundry and secure cycle storage.

The co-living scheme will be overseen by a management company and will be car-free, while proposed biodiverse roofs and external landscaping will maximise enhance the setting.
