  • hotel room rates will go down before they come back up;
  • travellers may feel unsafe in vacation rentals and the sharing economy;
  • people will be more comfortable traveling by air if planes are less full;
  • business travel will be the support for airlines;
  • airlines will be less stringent with cancellation and change fees;
  • one possible windfall is the positive effect on climate change.
