According to CBRE’s latest US Hotel Horizons report, lodging supply has increased while the growth in demand has decreased, which is likely to lead to a decline in occupancy over the next couple of years – after 10 consecutive years of occupancy expansion.

It echoes the health of the national economy, with US GDP also likely to decelerate over the same period. Both are forecast to recover to current levels by 2023.
