After an eight-week consultation which ended in December, the BTA has issued guidance on how Travel Management Companies should be remunerated, and on the day-to-day management of their relationship with their corporate clients.

The guidance covers transaction fees, subscription fees and management fees, comparing them with pricing models in the mobile phone industry, and calls for openness and transparency on all sides about services required, best estimates of spend, travel patterns, preferred agreements and transaction numbers.
