An extensive survey carried out by the not-for-profit trade body for serviced apartments, ASAP, has revealed Brexit as the biggest concern among its members over the next 12 months.  The survey results are helping to shape the ASAP 2018 Convention, taking place in London on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th December.

Now in its ninth year, event organisers are looking to address concerns for the industry surrounding Brexit with key sessions planned focusing on diversity and inclusion.

James Foice, Chief Executive of ASAP, said: “We carry out our survey every year ahead of the convention and as the results flood in, we adapt the schedule and speakers for the two-day convention accordingly to meet the needs of our members. They are our number one priority and if Brexit is their biggest concern for the industry over the next year, we want to make sure we’re addressing this.”

“We’ll be looking at Brexit’s potential effect on the hospitality sector, what we can do about it and ultimately, how to ensure a memorable guest experience moving forward.”

The 2018 ASAP convention will run over 5th and 6th December and will look at what the future has in store, offering key industry data and insights.

James added: “This year’s convention will also heavily focus on the people in our sector. While technology developments are crucial, it’s the people who are at the heart of this fast-paced industry who really count when the pressure is on.”

Keynote speakers at the convention will include Jim Lawless, an internationally renowned speaker, while featured speakers include Stephen Frost, a globally recognised diversity and inclusion expert. Live Q&A sessions, additional seminars, interaction with attendees, specialist workshops and fantastic networking opportunities will also be available across the unique two-day event.

James concluded: “This year’s convention is the must-attend event of 2018 for the serviced apartment sector. Those who are new to the industry or even just those familiar with what’s involved in our world are all more than welcome to attend.”
