Booking.com has announced the milestone of five million listings alternative accommodations, such as homes, apartments and unique places to stay, a rise of 27% on last year and growing faster than traditional accommodation including hotels, motels and resorts.
According to two surveys by Booking.com in 2017, 30% of more than 57,000 travelers across 30 markets said they were looking to stay in an apartment, aparthotel or condo in 2018, while 21% of 19,000 travelers in 26 countries said that they would consider listing their own home on a travel accommodation site.
