BBF Serviced Apartments, ASAP Quality Accredited Operator Member Belgium, started providing serviced apartments in Brussels in 1992, offering international institutions and multinationals based in and around the city accommodation solutions for stays longer than two weeks. It now offers more than 1600 units in Brussels.
Recently the Brussels Region tourism authority has imposed new regulations on tourist housing mainly aimed at Airbnb, meaning anyone staying less than 90 days in the Brussels Region is defined as a tourist, including short-stay international working professionals.
BBF is looking to lead the serviced apartment sector in Brussels to form an umbrella organisation to work with the authorities.
