Co-living operator Built Asset Management Newly has just released data showing that the average age of renters living in individual rooms across its furnished shared properties in London has risen by 5 years since 2017, from 23.9 years old to 28.2 years old in February 2020.Renters are also staying in co-living properties 50% longer than 3 years ago, now averaging 18.3 months, while numbers of couples sharing one room in a shared property have gone up by 36%.

This shows that co-living is fast catching up with the single let market as an option for older professionals, due to the rise in quality and variety of co-living properties now on offer.
