The popular Austrian resort town of St. Wolfgang has had 53 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed since last week, of which the local tourism office reports at least 50 as seasonal workers from abroad.

More than 1,000 additional COVID-19 tests were conducted by the Austrian authorities in the town, and guests who stayed in town from July 15 will be informed. This has hit the region hard, with many hotel reservations cancelled over the weekend, two hotels closing, and fears that visitors will stay away for the rest of the season.
