ASAP Member Ascott has secured more than 2,100 new units across 12 properties in China in the last three months, including debuts in three new cities. They add to a record high of more than 5,600 units in the country across 26 properties, 60% up year-on-year in terms of units.

This year the company has sealed new contracts for more than 3,700 units across 22 properties worldwide, around 60% in China and the rest in countries including Austria and Indonesia.

Ascott is seeing strong recovery in China with apartment revenue in September 2020 close to 95% of the total the same month in 2019 – with 75% of guests from domestic markets. Meanwhile its properties in tier one cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen achieved an average occupancy of over 86%.
