Following record ticket sales in September, and with special rate tickets still available for members and non member serviced apartment operators (saving up to £250_ per person), we continue the countdown to the ASAP Convention in December with this new series of ASAP Convention Session Spotlights where we will be looking in closer detail at one of the sessions taking place over this two day event.

Day 1: Campfire C: Why we should prioritise wellness in our businesses

With the uncertainty with Brexit and the shortage of staff within the hospitality sector never has there been a more important time to retain the current staff within a business, and never has there been a more appropriate time to inspire your people to become more engaged and productive and to reduce absenteeism within your business.

The wellness of the team is growing more important and we are delighted to be holding a session on Day 1 of the Convention which will look at why we should prioritise wellness within our businesses.

The session will be led by Rachel McGuiness, Chief Vitality Officer from Wake up with Zest.  Rachel is an expert in workplace wellbeing helping business people to look after their physical and mental health and is a firm believer in ‘what gets measured, gets managed’ and the need to set wellbeing objectives. Rachel works all over the UK and Europe, predominantly with organisations in the technology, travel and education sectors and will highlight to attendees what businesses can be doing to implement a wellness plan within a company regardless of the size of the operation.

Healthier employees are generally happier and therefore more productive. So, if you haven’t yet implemented a wellbeing program in your business, isn’t now the time to start?  The session will give attendees key take aways, highlighting why you need a wellness programme within your business, the benefits, how to get the programme off the ground, deadling with objectives and how to engage with those who need it most.  Rachel will be providing top tips on how to get started so that you can leave the Convention and get your wellness programme into action.

We’re delighted to welcome Rachel and this brand new session for our event attendees.

Rachel comments “I’m looking forward to being a part of the 2019 ASAP Convention, sharing my knowledge on workplace wellbeing and meeting lots of new contacts.”
